There are a total of 6 models of Spectrolight FWS models. FWS-Poly and FWA-Mono which are Automatic models, and FWS-Basic, FWS-Center Line, FWS-High Resolution and CWS which are Manual models. Each model is designed to provide optimal performance depending on the various customer preferences and uses so be sure to check out our catalogue or contact our customer service team directly for detailed information and recommendations.
FWS-Auto features complete software control of wavelength and bandwidth via a USB link and simple software interface. Manual models feature manual adjustment of the center wavelength, transmission bandwidth and beam offset compensation.
FWS-Poly has a much wider wavelength selection range compared to other models The FWS-Poly-IR-Plus model for example has an extended spectral range of 615~1650 nm. The FWS-Mono on the other hand is a more cost effective model which has similar wavelength selection as FWS Manual models. Both models are compatible with any types of broadband lamps or supercontinuum sources.
No, all standard software required for FWS-Auto models are free of charge and available for download on our website. (Resources ► Technical Support ► Software)
SDK is also available and pairing with other software (LabVIEW, Matlab, etc.) is possible, however, it is best to check with us first. For inquiries on this matter please contact us at info@spectrolightinc.com.
The FWS-Basic model provides manual control of wavelength and bandwidth via knurled knobs. FWS-CenterLine model provides manual control of wavelength with a factory pre-set bandwidth (~15 nm FWHM). FWS-High Resolution model provides manual control of wavelength and bandwidth using multi-rotation dial for more precision tuning.
