The Mighty Light broadband light source from Spectrolight Inc. is turnkey and compact, based on a high-power tungsten-halogen lamp.
With a nominal color temperature of 2900 K, the Mighty Light provides >2 W of low-noise, white light output spanning the visible through NIR spectral regions. The entire package, including the lamp, power supply and custom low-noise control board, measures 125 × 75 × 70 mm. A unique power controller ensures extremely low output noise of ~0.5 percent. The aluminum housing is convection cooled, eliminating the complexity and vibrations of cooling fans or water cooling.
The Mighty Light is designed as a modular product in order to support a wide range of applications. Several modular accessories use simple bolt-on functionality with no need for special alignment.
